Privacy & Cookies Policy
Last updated: June 4, 2026
Payge.Me ("Payge", "we", "us") respects your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. By using Payge.Me you agree to this policy.
1. Information we collect
- Account information: name, email address, username, password (hashed), and authentication identifiers (e.g. Google account ID if you sign in with Google).
- Payment information: payments are processed by Stripe. Stripe collects your card details directly; we receive only a customer ID, subscription ID, billing country, last 4 digits, and payment status.
- Profile content: display name, avatar, bio links, payout email, and other content you choose to add to your Payge.
- Usage data: referral clicks, page views of your Payge, device and browser type, IP address, and approximate location derived from IP.
- Communications: messages you send us via our contact form or email.
2. How we use information
- To provide and operate the Payge.Me service.
- To process payments, manage subscriptions, and pay referral commissions.
- To authenticate you and secure your account.
- To send transactional emails (receipts, password resets, account notices).
- To provide analytics on your Payge to you.
- To detect, prevent, and respond to fraud or abuse.
- To comply with legal obligations.
3. Legal bases (EEA / UK users)
We process personal data on the bases of contract (to provide the service you purchased), legitimate interests (security, fraud prevention, product improvement), consent (where required, e.g. non-essential cookies), and legal obligation.
4. Sharing
We share data only with service providers that help us run Payge.Me, including:
- Stripe — payments and subscription billing
- Supabase / Lovable Cloud — hosting, database, and authentication
- Email delivery providers — transactional email
- Analytics providers — to understand product usage
We do not sell your personal information. We may disclose information when required by law, to enforce our Terms, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Payge.Me, our users, or others.
5. Cookies
We use cookies and similar technologies (such as localStorage) to make Payge.Me work and to understand how it's used. The categories we use are:
- Strictly necessary: session, authentication, security, and checkout cookies. These cannot be disabled.
- Functional: remembers preferences such as test-mode flags and referral attribution.
- Analytics: helps us measure visits, referral clicks, and conversions.
Most browsers let you block or delete cookies. Doing so may break parts of the site (for example, you may not stay signed in).
6. Data retention
We keep account and payment records for as long as your account is active, and after closure for as long as needed to comply with tax, accounting, and legal obligations. Analytics data is retained in aggregated form.
7. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or export your personal data, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to withdraw consent. To exercise these rights, contact us via the contact form.
8. Security
We use encryption in transit (HTTPS), encrypted storage, role-based access, and row-level security. No system is perfectly secure; please use a strong, unique password and protect your account.
9. Children
Payge.Me is not intended for children under 16. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we will delete it.
10. International transfers
Payge.Me is operated globally. Your data may be processed in countries other than your own, with appropriate safeguards in place.
11. Changes
We may update this policy. Material changes will be announced on this page with a new "last updated" date.
